CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: FHC Seeks New Board Member Applications

The Florida Humanities Council (FHC) is seeking candidates to serve on the FHC Board of Directors. Several director positions will be vacated in the fall. New members will be elected in September and begin their three-year term in January, 2011.

The FHC board sets policy, evaluates grant proposals, participates in fundraising activities, and promotes the activities of FHC. Nominations should include a resume, a letter outlining the qualities and qualifications the applicant would bring to the board, and a letter from the nominee expressing his/her interest in serving. The FHC board meets three times per year. Members also serve on a board committee that meets at least once a year.
